GTA V is getting heists, but there's no timeframe other than 'soon'

Rockstar confirms Grand Theft Auto V's heists are coming, but a definitive timeframe isn't given.

If you're one of the GTA Online players that's been eagerly-awaiting the arrival of the 'Heists' mode promised by Rockstar, here's some good news... sort of. In an interview with IGN recently, the developer said the long-awaited mode is coming 'soon'. Nothing more than that.

GTA V's heists have been the subject of much frustration and speculation over the past year, since the game originally launched on the last-gen consoles. Many were worried that heists wouldn't see the light of day on the PS3 and Xbox 360, since the announcement of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions. This lead some to believe the new-gen consoles and PC would be the only systems to receive the mode. However, Rockstar confirmed that when heists do arrive they'll be across all versions of the game, so that's something at least.

The new-gen versions of GTA V arrive on PS4 and Xbox One next week (18th November), and the developers revealed the new first-person mode for the game in a trailer last week, along with a PS3/PS4 graphics comparison video. GTA V launches on PC on 27th January 2015.
