Arsenal morning news: Three names mentioned as Gunners hand Wenger £20m

A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly been given around £20 million to spend in the winter transfer market.

Several reports have come up with the figure as the boss looks at how he can improve his squad in one or two positions.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down the idea that Sami Khedira could leave the Bernabeu this winter.

The German has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners but the Italian coach says Real will give themselves as much time as needed to try and get a deal done.

“We have until June to reach an agreement with him. If he wants to sign an extension, the club will renew him. If not, he will leave the team at the end of the season,” said Ancelotti.

Arsenal have been linked with a double raid on Barcelona as they reportedly look to sign Pedro and defender Dani Alves.

Pedro has been linked with the club since last summer while Alves’ future is thought to have been up in the air for some time.

Arsene Wenger has already confirmed that he’ll be looking to make a defensive addition this winter.
