Get French Football claims Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been regularly monitoring the progress of Lyon striker Alexander Lacazette.
The 23-year-old turned down the chance to move to Newcastle United last summer and is reported to still be a target for both North London clubs.
“The pair of North London clubs continue to survey the man that rejected Newcastle United on more than one occasion last summer and who is a former Liverpool target,” reports GFF.
“Arsenal and Tottenham have had representatives present over five times this season.”
Arsenal played their hand last summer with the £16 million signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United, which leads to the suggestion that Tottenham would be favourites if they decided to move for the player this winter.
However, with Lyon staring at the realistic chance of a title win and the possibility of Champions League football next season, Spurs could find it difficult to wrestle him away from the French side.
