Former Chelsea defender William Gallas believes the Blues are the only London team who could tempt Gerard Pique away from Barcelona.
The former Manchester United defender has found himself out of the picture at Barcelona this season and has since been linked with a return to the Premier League.
The Red Devils are said to be keen to re-sign the Spanish international to bolster their defensive ranks, though speculation has also seen him linked with Arsenal and a reunion with Fabregas in West London.
According to former Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas, the Spanish international wouldn’t be tempted by a move to the Gunners as he sees the Stamford Bridge outfit as the only option in London.
While the now retired French defender believes Pique may leave the Catalans, he poured cold water on a potential move to the Blues by claiming former boss Jose Moruinho wouldn’t be interested in signing him.
“Maybe [Pique could leave]. However the only team who could take him in London is Chelsea." He said, talking on the BeIN Sport talk show in France.
Pique had a four year stint with United after joining in 2004 but rarely appeared for the first team, making just 12 Premier League appearances at Old Trafford.
Since returning to his boyhood club Barcelona, the 27-year-old sustained enormous success and has won a total of 15 club trophies in six full seasons.
