Stoke City beat Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend and here is the story of the match in pictures.

Stoke City defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Mark Hughes’ side earned another fine away win courtesy of a first goal for the club for Bojan Krkic and a strike from Jon Walters.

Nacer Chadli would go on to cut the deficit with a goal of his own but it was not enough and and when Kyle Naughton was sent off that was the end of the potential comeback.

Stoke leapfrogged their hosts as a result and Hughes can be exceptionally proud of his side’s efforts, but questions remain regarding Tottenham...and Pochettino’s team selections.

Fans are becoming increasingly disgruntled with some of the players taking to the field on a regular basis, although there was the positive of seeing in-form Harry Kane given the nod ahead of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.

On this occasion the England under-21 international could not make the difference and with the international break now upon us, there is likely to be a lot of thinking going on ahead of Tottenham’s next match.
