Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli may have been in poor form since the start of the season, but he has still been called up to the Italy national team.
Coach Antonio Conte named the former AC Milan star in his squad for matches against Croatia and Albania in the coming days.
Italy will take on Croatia in a Euro 2016 Group H qualifier at the San Siro on November 16 and two days later entertain Albania in a friendly at the Marassi in Genova.
This is the first time that Balotelli has been called up by Conte since the former Juventus coach was named the Italy national team boss.
The Azzurri were training today and Balotelli was at home with his compatriots. He seemed delighted to have met for his former Milan teammate Stephan El Shaarawy as well.
Below are some of the best pictures from Italy’s training session today.
