All the evening news, views and transfer rumours from Old Trafford…

Stromsgodset attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard believes that Bayern Munich are the best club in the world.

The 15-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, with fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool also reported to be interested in the wonderkid.

The Norway international has now spoken of his admiration for German champions Bayern, who won the Champions League in 2013.

‘They won the Champions League, so they're the best club in the world’, The Daily Mail quotes the teenager as saying. ‘They play good football, with lots of good players’.

Meanwhile, David de Gea believes that United can challenge the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City this season.

‘Manchester United is a huge club and will always be there or thereabouts’, the Spain international told United’s official website. ‘In terms of the league table and the position we’re in we are not far away.

'All we can do is work hard and try to keep improving and it’s important that we completely concentrate on ourselves and not look too much at others’.

United captain Wayne Rooney is set to earn his 100th cap for England during this two-week international break, and he has been reflecting on his debut for the Three Lions.
