A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club this Monday morning.

Liverpool are going to step up their efforts to sign Fulham youngster Patrick Roberts according to the Daily Mirror, but face a battle with Arsenal and Chelsea to land him in January.

Fulham want to keep hold of the 17-year-old winger but a deal could be struck if the Reds allow him to remain at Craven Cottage on loan until the end of the season.

Striker Mario Balotelli has been recalled to the Italy international squad, after being omitted from the first two squads under Antonio Conte.

Balotelli hasn't really found much form so far this season, only scoring two goals since his arrival on Merseyside, and has yet to find the net in a Premier League game for the Reds.

After the international break, the Reds will travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League, a ground that holds painful memories following last season's 3-3 draw.

Palace manager Neil Warnock has said he would love to 'put one over' Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers when the two sides meet.

He's quoted in the Daily Mirror, saying: "I like Brendan but I would love to put one over on him.

"He's a top manager. I like him and we have had one or two good games against each other."
