A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown says Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t do enough to help Calum Chambers against Swansea City.
The £16 million summer signing was given the run around by Jefferson Montero as the Swans cancelled out an Alexis Sanchez goal.
“Calum Chambers was not given much protection down the right by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and, too often on Sunday, Jefferson Montero was able to pick the ball up and do real damage,” said Keown on Match Of The Day.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed he’s been watching videos of former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso.
“I get clips of Alonso through on my iPad. The analyst guys here send them to me and they highlight some of his key points, his key strengths. It’s a 20- to 25-minute package,” said the England star.
Arsene Wenger has turned his back on winning the Premier League title.
The Frenchman says it’s Chelsea’s title to lose after he saw his side defeated away at Swansea City last weekend.
“At the moment Chelsea are on course for 100 points this season. If you look at the number of points they have today, if they keep that up nobody will catch them, that's for sure,” said Wenger.
