Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Stoke City: Potters add to Spurs' woes

WH Lane

Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-1 to Stoke City at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Stoke City defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at White Hart Lane this weekend.

Bojan Krkic scored his first goal for the Potters to put them in front in the sixth minute and Jon Walters doubled the visitors' lead 12 minutes before half-time.

Nacer Chadli halved the deficit with 13 minutes to play but it was too little too late, and Tottenham were fighting an uphill battle soon after when full-back Kyle Naughton was sent off for a foul on Victor Moses.

The result means Tottenham slipped to 12th in the Premier League while Stoke climbed above them into ninth.

It was another fine away win for Mark Hughes' side but there are plenty of questions for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino to answer in the days ahead.
