Manchester United bounced back from last week's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City by seeing off Crystal Palace in a 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Much has been made of Louis van Gaal's start to life given that David Moyes picked up more points from the first ten games, but Juan Mata's goal against Palace handed United a hard fought win.
Here are some of the pictures that tell the story of the game...
Luke Shaw endured a tough start to life at Old Trafford but had his best game in a United shirt so far on Saturday, showing great drive and energy from left back to threaten the Crystal Palace defence repeatedly, which will be a huge boost to United, England and van Gaal.
Neil Warnock's second spell at Crystal Palace continues to be a disappointment, and the Eagles remain level on points with 18th placed Leicester City - just one place above the drop zone. With just two wins under Warnock and four defeats from the last five games, Palace are struggling.
Juan Mata's second half goal clinched the three points for United, slamming the ball home from outside the box. It's been a frustrating season for the Spaniard so far, but he proved his worth to van Gaal with that superb winning goal - and his celebration showed just how much it meant to the former Chelsea man.
The victory means that United have now won four of their last five away games, with their only home defeat coming against Swansea City on the opening day.
Van Gaal is turning Old Trafford back into the fortress it once was, and if he can improve the club's away form, then United will be in a good position to make a run for the top four.
