It's been a mighty long wait, hasn't it? Finally, however, Leeds United were able to secure three priceless points against bottom-side Blackpool at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
How Neil Redfearn's men needed that. And perhaps the ability to cross the line and finally secure a win could lead to a surge in momentum. After all, that's exactly what happened when the 49-year-old was in caretaker charge earlier this season.
It was only against the side at the foot of the Championship table - but everything clicked for Leeds yesterday. Liam Cooper and Jason Pearce were brilliant in defence, Adryan was brilliant in midfield. Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara, meanwhile, always looked dangerous - as Redfearn commented after the game.
The end result, of course, was a 3-1 victory and a bouncing Elland Road, as the Yorkshire side moved up to 15th in the Championship table - and only eight points off the play-off places.
After the disastrous reigns of Dave Hockaday and Darko Milanic, the hope will be that Redfearn is the man to take Leeds forward. He should, really, have been the man for the job all along. But what's done is done - and the 49-year-old is in position now.
Next up for Redfearn and his Leeds charges are Blackburn Rovers after the international break. For now, though, there will no doubt be more celebrations - just like these ones yesterday:
