Can the former Barca wonderkid go on to become a Stoke hero?

Stoke City shocked many this summer when they managed to persuade former Barcelona prospect Bojan Krkic to make the move to The Britannia Stadium.

He has certainly had a mixed run of it in recent times. He had loan spells at Ajax and Milan in recent seasons, while he also spent two seasons at Roma as part of a co-ownership deal with Barca.

He was signed by Luis Enrique, the new Barcelona head coach, but failed to make an impact while he was at the club and after he departed, hence why Roma decided not to sign him permanently.

The talented attacker, once dubbed the 'next Messi' has shown indifferent form since he arrived in The Potteries but hope still remains he can prove himself with Stoke City.

But he finally has his first goal for the club. He scored the opening goal against Tottenham Hotspur today, as Stoke went on to win the game 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

It was a great goal as well - running from halfway before smashing home.

Stoke fans will hope to see him doing this on a regular basis soon...
