Former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes that Arsenal will fail to win against Swansea City on Sunday.
Swansea are having a fantastic season so far and are in contention for a top-six finish, and Owen backs them to pick up a point against Arsenal.
‘This is Swansea’s best start to a PL season and I expect them to avoid defeat against the Gunners’ who must still be wondering how they let a three-goal lead slip against Anderlecht midweek’, the 34-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
‘Arsenal’s four PL win’s so far this season have all been against sides currently in the bottom six and I think they will have to settle for a draw at the Liberty’.
Winning at Swansea will not be easy for Arsenal, whose defensive frailties were once again exposed in midweek.
Arsenal were 3-0 up against Belgian outfit Anderlecht at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League, but conceded thrice in the final 30 minutes of the encounter to settle for a 3-3 draw.
However, that was a ‘freak’ result and one that is not uncommon in football. One would expect manager Arsene Wenger to revive his players’ confidence and made them ready for the test in Swansea.
