Seydou Doumbia and Asmir Begovic are reportedly on Liverpool's radar in January.
Doumbia impressed on Champions League duty against Manchester City earlier this week, terrorising Manuel Pellegrini's defence.
The Ivorian has a release clause of £30 million and is also wanted by Napoli, however, but CSKA are said to be willing to listen to offers of £15m plus.
Begovic, meanwhile, has been linked with a potential £10m move away from Stoke to Liverpool.
Both moves may just be sheer speculation, however, as one Champions League performance should not be the basis of interest from a club like Liverpool.
There is also little to suggest Begovic will actually leave Stoke for Merseyside, despite claims Brendan Rodgers already tried to sign him before.
If either signing is truly on the Reds' radar, they may want to think carefully about throwing large sums around after their summer transfer business, while there are certainly other areas of their squad that need improving at the same time.
