Leeds United fans are desperate for the club to hang onto youngster Alex Mowatt in light of interest from Everton and Aston Villa.
The impressive form of young Leeds midfielder Alex Mowatt has led to interest from Premier League sides.
Mowatt has four goals in 11 games in the Championship this season, hitting three in his last three matches.
The Mirror newspaper reports that Aston Villa and Everton are monitoring the teenager who was called into the England under-20 squad last week.
Both clubs have bought from Leeds before, with Villa signing Fabian Delph and Everton buying Jermaine Beckford.
Leeds are under no immediate pressure to sell financially, thanks to cashing in on Ross McCormack in the summer for £11 million, and still retaining most of the proceeds.
Mowatt has come through the academy at the club, and new head coach Neil Redfearn has spoken repeatedly at his desire for the club to keep the youngster together to be the cornerstones of the side's future success.
While Redfearn is in charge, it's likely Mowatt will want to stay around and not rush his own development.
He also has a contract at Leeds until 2017, and while the club may want to consider offering him improved terms, there is no immediate threat of him walking out on them.
Leeds fans have reacted sharply to the reports linking Mowatt away, commenting via Twitter that neither Everton or Aston Villa have a chance of signing the young talent.
