Despite being the underdogs for the Premier League clash, QPR held the defending English champions to a 2-2 draw.
Charlie Austin gave Rangers the lead at Loftus Road in the 21st minute, but Sergio Aguero equalised just past the half-hour mark.
Martin Demichelis’s own goal on 76 minutes saw Harry Redknapp’s team regain their advantage, but Argentina international striker Aguero equalised seven minutes from full time.
It was one of the best performances of QPR so far this season, and the players were understandably delighted.
After the match, Joey Barton, Austin and Alex McCarthy took to social networking site Twitter to revel in QPR’s draw against City.
Great performance again from the lads. Great to be back. Could have been 3 points but for Sergio Aguero. The best striker in the country.— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) November 8, 2014
