Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has admitted his surprise at reports claiming that David Moyes will become the new Real Sociedad coach.
The former Manchester United manager has been strongly linked with the job at the Spanish club, with suggestions rife that an official announcement is imminent.
Carragher has now given his opinion on the matter, conceding that he thought that Moyes would leave for Germany rather than for Spain.

Moyes has been without a job in football management since April when he was sacked by United after less than a year in charge of the Red Devils.
