Everton fans react on Twitter to Romelu Lukaku's performance against Sunderland

Lukaku Belgium

Everton and Sunderland drew 1-1 on Sunday, but what did Toffees fans make of the Belgian international's performance?

Everton came from behind to earn a point against Sunderland on Sunday and not for the first time they had to rely on the fine finishing of Leighton Baines.

The England international scored a penalty after Seamus Coleman had been fouled in the area and the left-back made no mistake from the spot.  But while he was receiving more plaudits, his teammate Romelu Lukaku was generating plenty of discussion of his own...and not in a good sense.

Everton's summer signing had four shots on Sunday - three of which were on target - but he failed to find the net leaving some fans exasperated by his performance.

With a passing accuracy of just 61 per cent he did not enamour himself to the fans who adored him last season and he needs to start justifying his price-tag sooner rather than later with four goals in 16 appearances simply not good enough.
