West Ham could reward one of their best performers - but only if he plays 12 more games.
The Senegalese striker has made a sensational start to Premier League life, being named the player of the month for October.
Sakho, however, will have to play 12 more games before being given the new deal, say the Mirror.
The news comes due to a reported clause in the 24-year-old's current contract that calls for it to be reviewed after 20 games.
When picking up the player of the month award for last month, Sakho said: "I'm a bit surprised and I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way, especially here, and also earlier on in my career at Metz.
"At the start, it was a bit hard but that makes me even happier now that I've managed to win this award and the most important thing is to help the team to continue to do well."
So far this Premier League campaign, Sakho has scored an incredible six goals, also netting once in the Capital One Cup.
