Southampton sensation Dusan Tadic reveals who inspires him most

Zinedine Zidane

The Saints midfielder says he wants to play like his childhood hero.

Dusan Tadic admits he sometimes tries to play like his 'hero' Zinedine Zidane.

The former Real Madrid, France and Juventus star is considered as one of the greatest players of his generation - and may well be one of the greatest ever such were his underrated qualities.

And Southampton midfielder Tadic says Zidane was his hero and that he often attempted to model parts of his game on the Frenchman.

The 25-year-old, though, says he does not try to 'think' too much about what he's going to do on the pitch.

“Zinedine Zidane was my hero," Tadic is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

“Some things I tried to do like him and it was always a pleasure to watch him and how he played. Everything looked easy what he did but it was not so easy. It was really a pleasure to watch him.

“I never think what I’m going to do. I never think ‘I’m going to do that move, or that move’. I just relax and play football how I know it to play. You play how you feel in that moment."
