Derby County produced one of the results of the season across all of English football on Saturday afternoon when they thumped Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-0 at Pride Park.
A brace from Jeff Hendrick and Johnny Russell each after Ryan Shotton opened the scoring secured the win against a lacklustre Wolves side.
And Derby boss Steve McClaren told Sky Sports after the game: “I think so [that was Derby at their best], there’s not many performance I can sit there and enjoy it. But I really enjoyed that.
“It was a great reaction to the last couple of weeks. It wasn’t the football as much but the attitude and the discipline. It was a joy to watch.
“I’m just so pleased that, in front of 30,000 people and on Sky, we were able to do that.”
Derby's players, meanwhile, were equally pleased with their resounding triumph over Wolverhampton on Twitter.
