Leeds United returned to winning ways on Saturday, and how!
The West Yorkshire had gone eight matches without victory, but they finally picked up maximum points in a Championship game.
The Whites gave one of their best performances against Blackpool at Elland Road as they eased past their visitors 3-1.
Three goals in the first half proved to be enough for Leeds, and one of the scorers was a certain Liam Cooper.
The 23-year-old defender joined the former Premier League outfit from Chesterfield in the summer transfer window and arrived with a strong reputation.
The former Hull City man has not always played for Leeds so far this campaign, but he started against Blackpool on Saturday and scored his first goal for the club with a left-footed shot from outside the box.
Cooper’s performance was overall very encouraging and impressive, and he will certainly be happy with himself heading into the two-week international break.
