'Yet further confirmation that The Premier League is a one horse race this season', added Owen. 'Sergio Aguero is the only reason Man City are retaining a pulse'.
Chelsea were expected to pick up all three points against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, and they did.
Chelsea remain at the top of the Premier League table with 29 points from 11 matches, four points ahead of second-placed Southampton.
Manchester City are third in the standings with 21 points, while West Ham United are currently three points behind them in fourth.
