Manchester United morning news: £12m Frenchman linked and shock return on the cards

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United are reportedly planning a £12million move for Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa.

The Daily Star has picked up on reports from Le 10 Sport claiming United officials have opened talks over a possible move.

The attacking left-back is the latest defender to be linked with a possible move to Old Trafford, following hot on the heels of Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao; this despite the presence of Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo at United.

In other news, Forza Italian Football has picked up on claims from Sport Mediaset that Nemanja Vidic could be set to leave Inter Milan just six months after arriving.

The Serbian has had a tough settling-in period and the report claims he could even be set for a shock return to United.

That would certainly solve the club’s defensive problems, but it still seems a rather strange set of circumstances and it must be asked if Vidic would return given the lack of a contract renewal prior to his departure.
