Leeds United grabbed their first win in the permanent Neil Redfearn with a 3-1 thrashing of Blackpool.
After Tuesday night's 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic meant that Leeds United were still looking for their first win since Neil Redfearn took permanent charge of the club.
Yet with Blackpool arriving in West Yorkshire, Leeds had the perfect chance to finally bag that first win under Redfearn, with the Tangerines sitting rock bottom of the Championship table.
Liam Cooper put Leeds 1-0 up with a first half volley after Alex Mowatt's cross was blocked, before Souleymane Doukara made it two with a tidy finish after outpacing and outmuscling Blackpool left back Charles Dunne.
Just before half time, striker Mirco Antenucci made it 3-0 with a drive from the edge of the box, and whilst ex-Leeds trialist Nile Ranger pulled one back for Blackpool with just 15 minutes to go, Leeds held on for the three points.
There were a number of great performances from Leeds players, but none more impressive than that of Brazilian playmaker Adryan.
The Flamengo loanee has taken a while to get into the Leeds side, but handed a start today, he didn't disappoint, threading a superb ball through for Doukara's goal, whilst he may even claim Antenucci's goal having claimed the final touch.
The 20-year-old, who had been touted as the next Kaka during his time in Brazil, earned plaudits from a number of Leeds United fans on Twitter this evening...
