Elland Road Revie Stand

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Leeds United…

Leeds United take on Blackpool in the Championship this afternoon with both sides eager to gain points to climb up the table.

The visitors to Elland Road are rooted to the bottom of the table, while Leeds have slipped in recent weeks and Neil Redfearn will be seeking his first win since taking charge on a permanent basis.

In early team news the BBC reports that Jason Pearce is available after suspension while Billy Sharp and Rodolph Austin will have late fitness tests.

With Giuseppe Bellusci suspended for one match Liam Cooper is being tipped to deputise.

In other news, Phil Hay has written an in depth editorial on Leeds owner Massimo Cellino as pressure on the Italian shows no signs of abating.

Published in the Yorkshire Evening Post, the piece is an informative and enlightening article on Cellino’s time at the club and goes into significant detail regarding the current situation at Elland Road.

It is well worth a read for all Leeds fans, although perhaps today their minds will – and should – be on what happens on the pitch rather than off it.
