Considering the way he has been performing recently it is difficult to understand that David De Gea only turned 24-years-old yesterday. The Spanish international has been in great form for United recently, winning the October Goal of the Month award thanks to his excellent performances.
He also celebrated his birthday yesterday, with plenty of Manchester United players and fans sending him good will via Twitter.
While that is nothing extraordinary, the message sent his way by a certain footballer did seem to cause a mini-stir.
This summer Manchester United allowed Javier Hernandez to leave the club. The Mexican joined Real Madrid on a season long loan deal and has certainly impressed so far - scoring four goals in eight appearances for Los Merengues.
He is certainly enjoying his time out there, but has time to send this message to De Gea yesterday.
Translated the Manchester United man admits to missing his former goalkeeper and close friend...
"Brother D_DeGea hope you had an amazing day !!! I miss you !!! You..."
Hernandez is reportedly keen on a Real Madrid stay, but that does not mean a reunion would be off the cards - as fresh reports have suggested that De Gea might just join him at Real for the right price.
Meanwhile United will hope not to miss Hernandez too much when they take on Crystal Palace this weekend.
