All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates Stadium this morning.
The Polish international only joined the club in the summer but has impressed during his time in La Liga so much that Arsenal are said to be keen.
It is now being reported that the midfield star has a minimum fee release clause in his contract of around £23.5 million.
If Arsenal are willing to pay that sum then Sevilla, who have previously stated no desire to sell the enforcer, would be forced into a sale.
However his agent has recently stated a desire to remain in Spain with the surprise title challengers so Arsenal still have plenty of work to do in order to sign this star.
Theo Walcott's agent has rubbished the idea of the winger joining Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the season. It was reported yesterday that Arsenal may make a move to send out the English winger to Italy, so he can recover from his knee injury.
But Colin Gordon has simply denied the idea to The Express, who originally ran the story.
He says there has been no contact and any deal would be 'impossible':
"Theo is liked by a lot of teams and it's likely there's interest from Fiorentina.
"I have a great relationship with that club, I respect and admire their leaders. I just don't think there is an opportunity to see Walcott in Florence.
"I don't think that Fiorentina have the money to get him. I think it's an almost impossible deal for them and I was never contacted by them about Theo."
Finally, and Arsenal are being linked with a double centre-back swoop this winter. It comes as news of the injury to Laurent Koscielny continues to grow in severity.
The Frenchman is struggling with chronic Achilles tendinitis - which leaves him out of action for an open-ended timescale.
With that in mind Goal report that Arsene Wenger is keen on both West Ham's Winston Reid and Celtic's Virgil van Dijk - in a bid to strengthen his flimsy back-four.
