Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is not sure whether Radamel Falcao will recover from his calf problem.

The 28-year-old striker is set to miss his third game in a row with the injury, as he has been ruled out of the Red DevilsPremier League clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Earlier on Friday, United manager Van Gaal confirmed that Falcao will sit out the match against the Eagles (click here to read more), and he has now conceded that he does not know when the Colombia international will regain full fitness.

Falcao missed the Premier League game against Chelsea after taking a knock in training and was then left out against Manchester City last weekend.

And now the AS Monaco-owned star will not feature against Palace and could miss further games.

The fact that Van Gaal cannot say for certain when Falcao will be back in action could be frustrating and potential worrying for the United fans.
