The top five players linked with signing for Tottenham Hotspur this week: Delph, Berahino and more

Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and FC Porto stars all feature.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with several good players over the past week as manager Mauricio Pochettino appears to be reviewing his transfer options for the winter on a daily basis.

Reports claimed earlier this week that Tottenham could bring in up to three strikers during the January transfer window, suggesting potential big changes at White Hart Lane.

Here are five of the best names to be linked with the club over the past week.

Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)

Delph has reportedly turned down the chance to sign a new contract at Villa Park with Tottenham one of the sides tipped to sign him. Delph has been one of Villa’s standout players this season with his form helping him into the England team.

Xherdan Shaqiri (Bayern Munich)

For the second week in a row Tottenham have been linked with a possible move for the Swiss wide man. Spurs are reportedly one of several clubs considering moves for Shaqiri should he consider a move away from the Bundesliga.

Saido Berahino (West Brom)

Berahino is the highest scoring English player in the Premier League this season. Spurs would have to pay big to get him but it could be a worthwhile investment as he already has a good relationship and partnership with Harry Kane from the under-21 setup.

Wilfried Bony (Swansea City)

In terms of the strikers Tottenham could go after this winter, Bony is one option. However, he’s reportedly close to a new deal with Swansea which suggests that any formal attempts to sign him could be pointless unless the offer is literally huge.

Yacine Brahimi (FC Porto)

One thing Tottenham Hotspur aren’t short of is central midfield options. However, that hasn’t stopped them being linked with Brahimi, who was tipped to move to England in Portuguese newspaper O’Jogo this week.
