Rooney reveals his perfect Manchester United 5-a-side team

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney gave an ultra attacking response to the weekly question.

Every week Manchester United run a piece on their official website on training at the club, with one of the questions always in the offing being the following ...

Who would you play alongside in your ideal five-a-side team?

Every week someone will give an answer, but this week's was more intriguing - as they were talking to the Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney.

The England skipper was asked who would be in his ideal five-a-side team - with himself involved of course.

Once confirming that the goalkeeper need not be taken into consideration it was expected he would give some thought to positional responsibilities. Perhaps he would throw in a defender and a midfielder to shore things up - he doesn't want to go all out attack. Right?

Apparently not because this was his ultra-attacking dream five-a-side team at United:

"Do you have to have a goalkeeper? If not, I'll go for Angel [Di Maria], [Radamel] Falcao, Robin [van Persie] and [Juan] Mata."

You don't have to choose a keeper Wayne, but a defender might have helped.

Plus, looking at the bunch he picked, there is only one of that five I can see playing at the back ... Rooney himself.

Now he would not be pleased with that, would he.
