It looks like the conjecture over Campbell's future may be a storm in a teacup.
There has been much speculation over the future of Joel Campbell this week - as it was rumoured the Costa Rican could be on his way out of Arsenal. The forward, who spent last season on loan at Olympiakos, had a great World Cup and was therefore on many a team's radar - as his first-team opportunities at Arsenal looked limited.
But Arsene Wenger was similarly impressed and decided to keep hold of him - despite several offers to take him on loan from Turkey, Italy and England.
However, he has struggled to make his way into the team and it was therefore rumoured he may still be considered expendable come the winter - with several teams queueing up to take advantage.
Yesterday Campbell told Greek media that this was not an option, he was at Arsenal to stay, while the Arsenal boss was also at it earlier today.
He waxed lyrical about Campbell, stating:
"Yes, of course [Campbell is in my long-term plans]. But I cannot guarantee the happiness of every player. I try to make everybody happy.
"I personally love Joel Campbell and have a big respect for him and I wish every day that he is happy from morning till evening."
And now Campbell has dropped a couple of big hints that he is indeed happy at Arsenal through his Twitter account.
He posted this link to an article on a website called sports.bycampbell.com, a website dedicated to him - in which they highlighted the recent Wenger quotes.
He also retweeted a fan who had made the comments about Wenger's 'respect' for Campbell - hinting that he is more than likely staying at Arsenal for now.
