Goals from Leon Osman, Phil Jagielka and Steven Naismith secured a victory that takes them to eight points in Europe, one point above second-placed Wolfsburg.
And boss Roberto Martinez says winning the Europa League is certainly not beyond the realms of imagination.
“I think we are a football club where we are expected to win things,” Martinez told Everton's official website. “It’s a long time since won trophy but the relationship between the club and European football goes back to the 1950s.
“It’s in our DNA and we need to galvanize that and see where we can get in the competition.
“I think the squad is large enough and we have enough quality to cope with many games but if you start talking about the end of competitions in November, you can look a bit foolish. We’ll keep working and see how far we can go.”
Goalkeeper Tim Howard, meanwhile, expressed similar thoughts on Twitter after the game.
As well as celebrating Naismith's ability to 'roof it,' the USA goalkeeper made the statement on social media that 'winning ALWAYS matters.'
