Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, and The Crew disappear from Steam

Assassin's Creed Unity Arno Table 1

Three of Ubisoft's biggest releases vanish from Valve's PC gaming platform.

Assassin's Creed: Unity, Far Cry 4, and The Crew are all upcoming Ubisoft games, and yesterday they performed a disappearing act from Steam in the UK.

Yesterday there were many reports that those games had vanished from Steam in the UK, but were still appearing on Steam in the US.

Eurogamer reported that Ubisoft responded with the following, when asked where the games had gone:

"We've been in discussions with Valve about Assassin's Creed Unity but for the time being the game is not available via Steam in the UK.

"In the meantime, UK customers wishing to purchase the game digitally can do so by visiting the Uplay store, our retail partners or other digital distributors."

However, today they've made a full disappearance from Steam in many other places too, including Australia and other European countries. The US versions, which were available yesterday, have also vanished today.

Could Ubisoft be trying to coax more gamers into buying direct from their Uplay platform? We'll bring you an update once more is revealed.
