Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner was on fire on Thursday.
The Denmark international scored two goals in Wolfsburg’s 5-1 home victory over Krasnodar in the Europa League Group H.
It was Bendtner’s first goals for Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg since joining them in the summer transfer window on a free after being released by Arsenal.
The 26-year-old found the target from the penalty spot in the 89th minute and moments later added his second.
Bendtner was on the books of Arsenal from 2004 and 2014 and is widely considered as a ‘flop’. However, the Gunners fans appear to praise him for his performance against Krasnodar on Thursday.
The Arsenal fans took to social networking site Twitter after learning of Bendtner’s heroics. Below are the best reactions.
