Mauricio Pochettino says that he wants Tottenham Hotspur to head into their game with Asteras Tripolis tonight fully prepared for a tough test.
Spurs cruised past the Greek outfit at White Hart Lane in the reverse fixture, but Pochettino is expecting a much more challenging game tonight.
He believes that the home advantage Asteras has will serve them well and has warned that anything other than a top notch performance from Spurs could see them on the end of an upset.
"We know it’s a big game for them and it’s important to be focused, to be ready and to go onto the pitch with the mentality that in front of us, we have a very good team and a team with a big motivation to play well in this game,” he told the club's official site.
Despite Pochettino's warning, Spurs know that if they play to their potential they will win the match.
Tottenham have far more quality in their squad than the Greek side, but they have struggled to show it on numerous occasions and another off colour display could be punished.
Pochettino's men are in a strong position to quality from their Europa League group, but they will want to make sure they are through at the earliest possible point to allow them to concentrate fully on domestic matters.
Spurs have been poor over the opening part of the Premier League season, but they will be hoping that a comeback win against Aston Villa in their last fixture inspires a turnaround in their form in the coming weeks.
