Mesut Ozil has an extra reason to want to hurry his return to fitness.
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is in the midst of his push to return to fitness, and has an extra reason to hurry his recovery.
The German international is nursing a knee injury at present, but has inspiration after taking a delivery of his brand new Predator Instinct Adidas football boots.
Ozil picked up the injury at the beginning of October, and a 10-12 week recovery time was suggested.
His role in the side is suddenly less certain, with Alexis Sanchex flourishing in the position behind the striker. One possibility is that Arsene Wenger stations him out wide once again, even on the left, with Theo Walcott likely to play on the right.
If Ozil can get back in time for the busy festive schedule of fixtures, there is every chance he will get a chance to prove his worth centrally, with rotation likely to be a factor.
While he won the World Cup and FA Cup, on a personal level his 2014 was disappointing, slipping off the Ballon d'Or shortlist. He'd probably settle for that, but big improvements are expected next year.
