Leonardo Ulloa reflects on Leicester City’s win v Manchester United in Premier League; reveals Angel di Maria conversation

Leonardo Ulloa looks back fondly on Leicester City’s stunning victory over Manchester United at home in the Premier League back in September.

Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa has been reflecting on his side’s victory over Manchester United back in September.

The Foxes registered a stunning 5-3 win against the Red Devils at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.

Louis van Gaal’s side seemed to be heading to an easy win when they were 3-1 ahead on the hour mark, but Leicester staged a sensational comeback to score four goals in the final 30 minutes.

Argentine striker Ulloa was a hero in that game and scored twice. He has now been reflecting on what will go down as one of the shock results of the season anywhere in Europe.

‘It was a stunning victory’, the 28-year-old told the FourFourTwo magazine. ‘But I don’t want to look back. I mean, I can’t afford to look back and forget about what’s next.

‘That’s what the team must do. Personally, yes, in later years I will reflect on that performance and the two goals; that we came back from 0-2 and 1-3.

‘I have that story to tell, as well as the day that I scored against Real Madrid with Almeria to draw 1-1. I sincerely hope to get more of those stories’.

Ulloa has also revealed that he spoke to United winger and fellow Argentine Angel di Maria before the game.

‘He was talking to Cuchu (Esteban Cambiasso) because they knew each other from the national team’, said the former Almeria star.

‘I approach to say hello and said: Don’t run too much - you seem to be on air. He laughed. He wasn’t expecting that’.

Ulloa has been a key player for Leicester so far this season. He has scored five goals and created eight chances in 10 Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 74% and a shot accuracy of 64%.

Leicester are currently third from bottom in the Premier League table with nine points from 10 matches.
