Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes that Chelsea are currently in a dangerous situation as many believe that they already won the Premier League title.
The Blues have been in fine form, establishing a four point lead at the top of the table and it already looks an unassailable gap.
They have left most of the teams considered title contenders way behind them, after a blistering start to the year, but Keown thinks that this could cause some problems for the team.
"It’s almost a dangerous situation for Chelsea at the moment because it looks like the title is already theirs to lose," Keown told the Daily Mail. "Confidence can be brittle even for a team winning every week and a single defeat could suddenly smash that run they’re on. Suddenly things can turn.
"For Chelsea the game will feel simple and easy at the moment, but it can very quickly turn on its head."
Chelsea are still protecting an unbeaten record which has lasted the entirety of the season so far.
Already talk has emerged of the possibility of the side becoming only the second team in Premier League history to avoid defeat for the whole campaign.
If they did, then Keown's concerns about how they would react to a loss would be unfounded but this will be tough to achieve.
Chelsea appear to have very few weaknesses or areas of their team which can be exploited, but to get through 38 games without a slip-up would be a massive achievement.
The side are next in action this weekend when they take on Liverpool at Anfield in what should be a tough test.
Although the Reds have been in poor form so far they will be determined to get revenge over Chelsea, after Jose Mourinho's men ended their title hopes by winning at Anfield last season and they have the quality to hurt the London club if they are not at their best.
