It has been a predictably tough start to life back in the Premier League for QPR and Harry Redknapp. Of course their challenge has not been made easier by the loss of their influential midfielder Joey Barton to injury.
The controversial midfielder has done his best to turn his life and career around in recent years. Last season he was pivotal to QPR's success in promotion.
The one cap England international has curbed his enthusiasm for trouble on the pitch and is also looking into his future beyond the game - recently beginning to study philosophy at the University of Roehampton.
But he has been out with a hamstring injury for a while now, not playing since leaving the field in the 34th minute of a September tie against Stoke City at Loftus Road.
But he is now back in training, which will be music to the ears for the QPR faithful.
He took to Twitter earlier today to explain his joy at managing to get out their with the lads once again...
Great to be back out with the lads training. Amazing how much you miss it when you're out.— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) November 6, 2014
It will be a huge boost for QPR when he is back in action and not long after training he was Tweeting again - off to uni to do some work ...
Now off to Uni to start my seminar paper as its reading week. 'Does Descartes prove the mind is distinct from the body?' #thoughts— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) November 6, 2014
Descartes? Isn't that what the French call snails?
