Massimo Cellino's superstitions must be making his heart do flips at the moment.
Leeds United fans know by now that their owner Massimo Cellino is a little bit eccentric. One of his most famous little quirks is his massive dislike for the number 17.
Cellino once had all the 17 seats at his previous club Cagliari's stadium removed. If you wanted a seat at the Stadio Sant'Elia during Cellino's reign you would have to sit in 16, 16b and then 18 - 17 was simply not used.
The shirt number is currently vacant at Leeds and is unlikely to be filled any time soon while it is rumoured that Paddy Kenny was let go because his birthday falls on May 17th.
So the league table must be excruciatingly painful reading for the Leeds owner at the moment.
Not only because he would prefer to see Leeds higher up the table than they currently are. But because they currently sit in 17th place.
Not only that but they have scored 17 goals and obtained 17 points.
This all comes with 16 games played in the season. If Leeds lose to nil against Blackpool on Saturday, and the likes of Rotherham, Wigan and co fail to take advantage then it could be a truly nightmare scenario for Leeds supremo Cellino.
