Tottenham are linked with signing Teo Gutierrez.
Tottenham Hotspur's need to bolster their strike options has seen them linked with signing Teo Gutierrez.
Gutierrez led the line for Colombia at the World Cup in the absence of the injured Radamel Falcao, now of Manchester United.
He was the surprise choice ahead of Jackson Martinez and Carlos Bacca, scoring once and providing one assist in four matches.
Gutierrez plays for River Plate in Argentina and has been in sensational form, scoring 10 goals in 11 games in the Torneo Inicial.
While a cut-price addition at the reported fee, Gutierrez is 29-years-old and has played in South America almost all his career.
He had a brief spell with Turkish side Trabzonspor in 2010, which lasted just one season with him struggling to adjust. Whether he is willing to attempt to do so again at this later stage of his career is unclear, especially with him in superb form in South America.
