'Ready for battle' - Chelsea star Tweets ahead of Maribor clash

Oscar for Chelsea

Brazilian midfielder Oscar cannot wait for tonight's Champions League tie.

Chelsea take on NK Maribor tonight in the Champions League - hoping to inflict another humiliating defeat on their Slovenian opponents.

When Maribor travelled to Stamford Bridge Chelsea were ruthless. Goals from Loic Remy, Didier Drogba, John Terry, a Mitja Viler own goal and an Eden Hazard double saw Chelsea win that game 6-0 - but the game in Maribor will be slightly different tonight.

It will be a tense and close atmosphere for the Chelsea players, but it should be one they have the experience to deal with. A similar result will be expected and the performance of Oscar will no doubt play a part.

The Brazilian was superb for Chelsea in their 2-1 win against QPR at the weekend - scoring a wonder-goal in the process of his midfield master-class.

Tonight he will be hoping to do the same and has taken to Twitter to express his excitement just hours from kick-off...
