Manchester United-linked Arturo Vidal had a mixed time on Tuesday.
The Chile international midfielder ended up on the winning team in the Champions League clash between Juventus and Olympiacos, but on a personal level he had a disappointing game.
The 27-year-old was generally wasteful in front of goal and could not impose himself on the game as he usually does. And then he failed to convert a late penalty (see picture above).
Nevertheless, Juventus edged past Olympiacos 3-2 at home in Turin to retain their chances of progress to the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Italian champions are now third in Group A with six points from four matches, level on points with second-placed Olympiacos and three behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
Vidal was pleased with Juventus’s win and celebrated it in style, having dinner with his family.
The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, who was strongly linked with a £40 million move to United in the summer transfer window, posted the following photo on social networking site Twitter, with the message reading: ‘Family meal after a major victory! Forza Juveeee’.
