A recent YouGov poll shows that two thirds of employed people say that the amount of work they are expected to do has grown over the past few years, and more than a third are expected to do unpaid overtime. Despite the coalition’s efforts to help try and balance work-life factors through childcare and parental-leave policies, one out of four people believe there is not enough flexibility at their workplace to balance work and their personal life.
