A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.
James Milner has hit back at criticism from Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.
Scholes claimed that City were arrogant in the way they dealt with the build up to big games.
“We go out there with a gameplan, and if we hit our standards we can beat anyone - we've proved that,” said the midfielder.
Yaya Toure says Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is as good as Lionel Messi.
The Argentine was the top scorer in the Premier League last month and bagged a goal in the Manchester derby to get November off to a good start.
“I've been able to play with Messi but now I am able to play with Aguero - If I have to choose one of them it's quite difficult. Messi is one of the best in the world, definitely, but Aguero as well is strong, clever, he's fast,” Toure told the Mirror.
Fernandinho says he’s over his nightmare World Cup.
The Brazilian featured in the heavy defeats to Germany and the Netherlands and says he’s now fully focused on the task at City.
“When I came back to Manchester City I just [concentrated on] the Premier League and the Champions League and the World Cup stays in the past. Now I think just about Man City,” said the midfielder.
