Macleod ignored Scotland call-up at first
Lewis Macleod says that he was so shocked to be in the Scotland squad that he ignored his first text telling him he was.
The Rangers youngster was handed his first call-up yesterday, but it seems he took a while to process the news.
“I got a text but I didn’t recognise the number," he said to the Daily Record. "I just ignored it until this morning when I woke up I heard the news and I saw it on the press conference on television."
John Guidetti has won a number of fans with his actions on the pitch and now the on-loan Celtic forward seems to be earning plaudits with his words off it.
The Swedish striker has been a revelation since joining on a temporary move from Manchester City and he says that it is an honour to be representing a club as big as the Bhoys.
"When you play for a club like Celtic, it’s an honour to wear the shirt and you have to cherish every moment," Guidetti said to the club's official site.
Craig Gordon is fit for Celtic's Europa League match against Astra Giurgiu tonight.
The Bhoys had been sweating on the goalkeeper's fitness ahead of the match, after he missed Saturday's game with Inverness due to injury, but the BBC say he will be available for selection tomorrow.
