Here is the Chelsea line-up to face Maribor this evening.
Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Filipe Luis, Fabregas, Matic, Schurrle, Willian, Hazard, Drogba
Subs: Courtois, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Oscar, Salah, Diego Costa
A repeat of the performance that saw Chelsea thrash Maribor in the last round of Champions League games would be enough to see the Blues onto ten points, which is normally enough to secure qualification for the first knock out round.
The Blues have been solid in the Champions League so far and Jose Mourinho will want this game wrapped up quickly, so he can take players off and rest them ahead of the match against Liverpool this weekend.
Chelsea head into this game off the back of a 2-1 win against QPR last weekend, which left Mourinho questioning the passion of the Blues support after the game which should have the travelling support fired up.
That should play into Chelsea’s hands although it will be a different type of atmosphere to the one Chelsea’s players are normally used to and they’ll have to counter that this evening.
