Chelsea morning news: Mourinho tight lipped over Liverpool, loan star returning early?

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho has refused to be drawn into commenting on Liverpool’s tactics against Real Madrid last night.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers rested a number of players, seemingly to keep them fresh and fit for this weekend.

“If Liverpool decide to rest players when they play against the European champions it’s a question for the Liverpool manager, it’s not a question for me,” said Mourinho.

TalkSPORT claims Chelsea are toying with the idea of recalling Marco van Ginkel from his loan spell at AC Milan.

The Dutchman has played just half an hour of football for the Serie A club, as injuries have plagued his development.

It arguably makes more sense for him to continue his recovery in London.

Jose Mourinho has explained his recent comments about Chelsea fans were born out of love for the club.

Mourinho said it was like playing in an empty stadium during Chelsea’s 2-1 win against QPR at home last weekend.

“Maybe I go a little bit too far. But I see myself in the stands, watching Chelsea and I want to play, I want to help,” said the boss.
